Just curious if anyone knows if and when C4 will be doing an update on their SR250 remote control. To me, it seems a bit dated and could use a refresh.
I ask because I just started with a company that is big into C4 and I would like to get a system for myself to help educate myself a bit. For some reason, I just have never been a big fan of their handheld remotes. I really think they should have something along the lines of an MX1200 or MX5000 (I compare to URC because that is what I am familiar with).
I have not seen anything to indicate that they are releasing anything any time soon. Does anyone have a clue on this? :)

The SR250 is one of the best automation remotes available in my opinion and i have had almost everything in my house and compared it even with remotes that cost almost 10x as much.

The SR250 is a nice remote but Control4 really does need a refresh. A color graphics based touchscreen remote with buttons like an RTI T2C+ would be a perfect combination. I could sell something like that all day long.

How about changing rooms? That "list" button is terrible. But that's a programming change, not a hardware change. The whole List Navigator deal on the SR250s is WAY too cumbersome. Love the remote itself, though. Wish they would make it simpler to map any command to any button instead of having to alter the driver for that device.

Personnaly I beleive that a properly designed system does not require you to change rooms on the remote. Then again they do have a kick as OSD that everyone else is lacking, allowing for multizone control. As for the dvd open button, you still have to walk your lazy ass over to the machine to take out the disc, so what does it matter if you need to push the eject button at the machine vs a button on the remote. Its the same number of steps.

I could care less about "DVD Open" Its buttons like "Options" and "Return" "Title/Top Menu" "Home" and such that we really need and are hard for clients to recall where we ended up mapping them.
