Have any of you guys used these yet?  One of my reps stopped by today and had the "desk" version and the wall mount.  I think it's pretty cool.

It uses a magnet to attach to the wall and "trickle" charge the ipad through induction.  It will also spin to portrait and landscape.  I thought it was pretty sweet.  When you want to take the Ipad with you, you just pull it off the wall.

Yes these are very neat. Playing with one right now

Yeah there great! Two issues. The wall dock isn't the easiest to keep level so if you are anal like me then it could be an issue from some customers. The desk charger doesn't have a steep enough angle when trying to operate while sitting in a home theater chair. Otherwise they are very cool and I've had our office installed for a think a month now.

How far does it stick out from the wall, both with the ipad docked and without?

As much as I enjoy your uncanny level of wittiness, ironically your link did not show what I asked for which was how much it sticks out from the wall when docked. Your link shows how far the magnet sticks out from the plate and the overall depth into the wall but not from the wall out. I did see all the spec sheet you linked to before I posted as well as the powershuttle but none showed how much overlap there is when the units are docked together which could easily be answered by someone who has one in front of them.

I do appreciate your willingness to help me out though.

Well it seems if you take the info in his link plus this link it comes to about 1.75"?

Cool concept I'm just really not a fan of needing a fixed sleeve over the iPad; much prefer to have the iPad slip into a dock.

The case is quite slim. Its really a glorified protective case. The USB input makes it kinda neat as well. thems my 2c
