This equipment has been installed for at least 8 months, and we haven't had a problem. The customer is out of the country a lot, so this doesn't get a ton of heavy use as far as I know. Even the menu is so dim I can barely read it at all.

Known issue?

The 40,50, 60 series had problems with bulbs. Too bad they just didn't send you a new bulb.

This is why I sell Epson. I realize it doesn't help you with your present situation...sorry Jim. I have a JVC in my showroom (and an Epson). but the Epson looks just as good (or at least close) and the support is so much better.

We sell/sold Epson, too, but we have a JVC in our showroom too and never had an issue.

2 year warranty on the JVC, we'll see how it goes, since it sounds like this is the ONLY service center that works on these projectors.

I forgot to mention, when I hit one of the color mode adjust buttons at the bottom of remote (can't remember which one), every 2 or 3 button presses you would get a mechanical "clunk" out of the projector...
