We had a Five Guys open in town, and have the coolest coke machines I have ever seen. Apparently they were designed by the designers from fearri

I wonder if it has 232 or ip control. lol
The optimist claims the glass is half full; the pessimist claims it is half empty. An engineer observes that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Ps, you can't fix stupid

Do you think that because the body was designed by Pininfarina that we're going to have to pay $50 for a soda?

It really is cool.  Let's take it a step further and get me a smaller unit in my house, filled with soda, beer, and coffee.

Make it the size of a coffee maker, somehow make it like a thermos so it keeps the hot hot and the cold cold.

Bam!! we're gazillionaires.

I saw one of these at a McDonalds or KFC (can't remember) in New Orleans last year. For some reason, it seemed much less intuitive than what's shown in that video. Everyone I saw use it seemed to be complaining about it...

If you saw the coke version, it would have been McDonalds. KFC is a Pepsico company. Although I saw on youtube that Pepsi has a version also. But it doesnt have the sleek ferrari style to it.

I was half tempted to pull it out and check. lol

I do know it has an IP connection because it has the ability to notify Coke of any problems

the flavor cartridges are pretty cool too. They are only concetrate and all the sweetener and water come from seperate sources

You should sit back & watch people who have never encountered one of these try to use it. The word "befuddled" comes to mind.

That was my thought too. Especially since the screen isnt a traditional TP. It seems to be a LCD set behind a glass that has a heat sensitive film on the back of the glass. So there is about an inch or better from the display to the glass you touch. It makes it slightly awkward, imo.

We've had them in a lot of places in California for a while. They suck because there's only one tube at the end and if you want sprite, you taste that plus the last 5 drinks that came out of the thing. It's gross.

Run a shot of water out before you get your own drink.

There is a bar in town that uses a similar matrix style tap. Basically any tap can select any of the 50 beers.

I also thought the drinks tasted over-carbonated compared to the original, and depending on what the last person ordered, you can get some really strange flavors.

I told this to my neighbor who works for Coke, and he seemed amazed that I would care that the drink tasted funny. He kept going back to how "Cool" and "Futuristic" and "Stylish" the new unit was. I can tell he is destined for upper management there... a customer is telling you the primary reason they buy your product, they don't get through one delivery method, so you try to sell the customer on that delivery method, rather than address the concern. (Insert Face-Palm here!)

Also, the unit was designed by Pininfarina S.p.A. which does not build Ferrari's, they have designed bodies for a number of Ferrari's. They also design bodies for Maserati, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Volvo, Cadillac, and Honda. So I guess if you want to say it is the Ferrari of Coke Machines, it would be as accurate to say it is the Honda of Coke Machines! LOL

Best coke machine ever! The "Diet Coke" category has 9 choices including plain old Diet Coke. I've had them all and my favorite is Cherry Vanilla Diet Coke.

We have one at the local Del Taco and there are four at the IMAX theater in town.
