i'm hoping for opinions and reviews from anyone who's updated a Kscape M Class player to use the CinemaScape feature.
i'd also like to know if there's a simple way to display sources other than Kscape (PS3, DirecTV) in the correct aspect ratio while leaving the anamorphic lens in place. it can be moved with the control system when those sources are selected, but ideally it would never have to move... in a perfect world.
and finally, any feedback about experiences with the Kscape loan program ([Link: kaleidescape.com], to update video bookmarks with correct aspect ratios) would be an awesome bonus.

I think they are a quickly dying technology.

Anthony thinks they suck because you dont get to rummage through hundreds and hundreds of DVD cases and scratched discs to find something to watch

Just installed the new Sony 4K projector with a M class player and turned this feature on. I like the fact that the cover view is now in 2.35:1 and now the on screen displays actually show up on the screen rather than above or below the screen. Just did intitial install on Friday, so did not have much time to play with.

Not familiar with Kscape but as for CinemaScope in general, if your projector has the right aspect ratio modes you can use a fixed anamorphic lens and discretely change the aspect ratio. We have done this several times with DPI and Panamorph or Schneider lenses.
