So, from customers new Mac I can only see one of my Apple TV's in the system when I select Multiple Speakers. I can select any one of them individually, but cannot do multiple via the Mac.
I can see them and select multiple rooms from an I-pad2 without any issues (with Remote App). I can't figure out the issue.
Another issue may just be AirPlay limitations. From I-pad I can't select multiple rooms WHEN STREAMING FROM THE I-pad itself (from I-pad). When I select the AirPlay option I can only select one at a time. Is this a limitation?

When using AirPlay from iTunes (pc/mac) you can select more than one device for playback, when using AirPlay from idevices you can only select one device.

I haven't tried multiple appletv's, I can think of a few reasons why it doesn't work but it doesn't change the fact that it won't work.

That's what I found out, WHEN STREAMING FROM AN i-DEVICE. I just wanted to confirm I wasn't missing something. When you use the Remote app you can select any or all devices from the popup "speaker" menu.
In my original post I stated that I couldn't see more than The Computer and 1 device. After looking all over the settings, Google, etc. We found that the "window" was shrunk down, we "pulled" it open and what do you know they were all there!! Thanks for the input. BTW customers really love the cool factor and love not having to go back to a dock to mess with there i-Tunes music/ playlists. I should have been putting Express' everywhere they wanted a dock!

Just curious, are you able to play different songs at the same time?

You know I just tried that out and I get the same thing - stretch the window and bingo. That's a sneaky little glitch. I can see why you had trouble finding it. Good to know.

So to review:
You can't stream to multiple atv's simultaneously, only one at a time ( discovered that the hard way recently)
You can stream to multiple airport expresses simultaneously from itunes on a computer OR music stored on your iphone, ipad can also be sent to multiple airports.
Right?
Can you:
So lets say you have a mac, ipad (with music stored on it) and 6 airport expresses. Could you stream the same song from the macs itunes library to three of the airports and then stream a different song from the ipad to the other three airports?

No! Only iTunes will play to multiple devices.(apple tv not included)

Sort of.

You could stream the same song from the Mac to 3 airports and then stream from the iPad to 1 airport express.

I have successfully streamed iTunes on pc/mac to 2 Marantz NR1602 and a distributed system connected from computer analog audio, however Marantz were in sync and distributed had a delay.

I would love to see AirPlay/idevices multiples but like 1080p I think I'm dreaming.

I was able to stream (the same source:I-tunes from a Mac) to 2 ATV's and 1 Express at the same time without any problems,

I believe the answer is yes. I was able to be streaming I-tunes from a Mac to 1 Express and 1 ATV and stream "I-pod" music from I-pad 2 at the same time without any issues. But be careful if your wi-fi is margional (sp?), since the I-pad is doing the streaming it may cut out if it loses it's signal.
