New GUI and firmware doesn's seem to show Power On options. Any solution now for powering the cable box on/off?

If you don't have the power on by numeric, then you should be able to set a daily power on timer to turn the box on every morning at something like 5:30. You can also have it turn on to a certain station. This means if the box powers off from an update, it will then power on at 5:30. For some reason in our area, it's either power on by numeric or the timer.

Hopefully the power on timer still works. Even if it does there'll still be that customer that wants the box to turn on and off

Yeah, Rogers messed up by removing both power-by-numeric and power-by-fav options.

However, the ol' voltage sensor trick still works perfectly. :-)

If that's the only TOAD in the system, you can place a "help" button on the remote that issues the power toggle command (along with all the other 'ON' commands if you wish) to get things back in sync.

A kludge that will work.... :-).

Is this an issue on new Rogers boxes, or something that has happened from a recent update (and I just have not started to receive the calls from clients yet)?

Thread title and first post say that some clients have had boxes that worked a particular way, and since updates they no longer work that way.

I suppose you should expect new boxes to work the same (new) way, too, though!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
