This is bringing a few memories back to my mind too. I remember discovering a client dead on the floor of his home right next to where I was working up a ladder.
I was taking some measurements and marking the wall up high on a 16 ft ladder to drill out to mount a bracket. Anyway I discover I have forgotten to take my hammer drill up with me which was weird because i had my ear muffs on, and I climb back down and see him on the floor about 6 feet from me. I immediately call an ambulance but he was already gone. Apparently they think he might have stumbled and hit his head on something hard as it was bleeding but he had fallen over on carpet. Obviously once I found him I didn't continue the job and had my drill, drop sheet and ladder packed back in the van by the time the ambulance got there. Never did learn exactly what happened to him.

Gents, this is your wake up call. Pay attention, every day you have here, is to be savored, and lived with gusto, for all it is worth. Don't hold a grudge with loved ones, or you may never get the opportunity to say "I'm sorry."

In the fall of '96 I has diagnosed with a Pituitary Tumor that was affecting my eyesight. It had grown to be a bit larger than a golfball, was pressing on the optic nerves, and would start to affect motor functions soon. I went from a doctors appointment for what I though would be new glasses, to brain surgery in 4 days. When doctors make things happen that quickly, you know you are in danger. It makes you reexamine how you live, and what is important.

Take this story, and mine, and decide how you want to live. Don't be stuck saying "I wish I had..."

Well other than a "happy ending" if you know what I mean at least he died happy to get DirecTV...

But did it result in a charge back n the install?

I'm sure it did. DirecTV will charge back even if the customer service department lets someone cancel one day before the vesting period.
