I searched the forum but could not find a post close. I am unable to connect to a MX900 using the Editor or CCP. I have Windows 7 on 2 machines an both are comingup SC1 error.

any thoughts?

Did you connect to it before from this machine?
R U able to connect other controllers to this PC?
Is your cable good?
Do you have proper USB drivers installed? - Check Dealer portal for instructions on this one.

 when you plug it in, go into device manager.   does it show any unknown usb devices?   could be that you have to manually locate and install the driver.
