$350 and $350 was the pricing a year ago but it could have changed. RTI (cough cough ProControl) is notorious for changing their mind. $700 will get you a remote, antenna, and processor. Not sure about the iDevice pricing but it better not be less than RTI! I'm more interested in the IR version. $450 for that setup and more customizable than Harmony and much more repeatable.

This is my biggest concern. I think its the other way around. RTI is trying to play catchup with the rest and instead of plastering it with "RTI" a damaged brand name they think it will be easier to just rebrand the entire line eventually.

TBH, if you sit a RTI remote next to a mx980, a C4 remote or PTX3 the RTI looks 10 years old. The new pro-control remotes look sleek and sexy.

We'll see where it leads. I feel like the iOS app was first developed for pro control and they moved it over to RTI. Tear the covers off the new processors and i guarantee you will see the identical guts. Albet that integration designer will also be opened up to pro control within the year.

Its simply a rebrand IMO.

I dont think RTI brand is damaged. They got screwed by the OEM for the screens and they did a good job of taking care of the problems. We came very close to ditching them over it and it cost us, but I am glad we stuck it out.

I love the T1B and T2C. C4 and PTX3 look like cheap Chinese knock offs to me.

My guess for the ProControl branding is so they can move it to Best buy without pissing off all the dealers of RTI.

Between the mass exodus of dealers during the T2C WSOD era and the economy, I bet RTI sales are WAY down. They already added more Disty's and that probably didnt help that much. What market is ripe for the picking? The Harmony market. How do they get into that market w/o losing more dealers? Treat it like a completely separate company.

I dont know if this is their plan but it should be. Base station that works with hand helds and iOS/Android apps is all they need. What would be huge is if they had the ability to wizard or PC program.

Software is out and it is wizard based as well as customizable.

Not a bad wizard...definitely customizeable...but "assuming" the codes and drivers already included work properly, a very good cookie cutter solution especially for a techie DIY'er who (who has programming experience) or who may have previously been a pronto type of person; assuming we can give out the software. If not then not so sure if I'll have a need.

but a good effort nonetheless
