I went to clean my remote. My wife has tons of nail polish stuff under the sink and I grabbed acetone instead of rubbing alcohol (the container looked the same) and dipped a Q tip in it and started scrubbing the plastic screen of my MX-980. It instantly put a white haze over it. I stopped immediately but it got over 1/2 the screen.

I used some Blillianize plastic cleaner and got a lot of the haze off, but there still is some.

Does anyone have an recommendations as to how to get rid of the rest?

Thanks

If the plastic polish or toothpaste doesn't work see if your local eyeglass store will polish it out for you. Worked for me :)

im a nut for car care, and adams is the best stuff on the market.

That being said, acetone is tough. A chimical polish like this might solve your issues.

call URC you can probably buy the "face" of the remote. I have had units with broken/cracked faces and for a minimal amount they have them for sale

just wanted to let everyone know that that novus product fixed it. I bought the small size bottles off of Amazon and it was around 8 bucks. First pass with the light scratch remover and it took away all the haze! It was almost too easy

Thanks Duct Tape for the recommendation.

i'll try the rest on my son's headlight covers and see if it clear those up :)

Love that stuff. Chemical guys too have some good product.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.
