+1 Works GREAT!!

I would disagree with this statement. I wouldn't say that these work great. They are ok. A bathroom fan is not designed to run all day. This is a method that we have been using in the past but have moved to a cool components system with a return air flow vent in the door or wall, and good ventilation into the attic or vent to another room.

Oh. Then you're not disputing what he was plus-one-ing. This was what he approved of:

Don't underestimate the simplicity of a bathroom exhaust fan tied to a wall-mount temp sensor... Let the other guys install it, too. :)

A bathroom fan with a wall-mounted temp sensor (thermostat) would not run all day.

Ventilation into the attic wastes house heating or cooling, and has the possibility of backfeed of air from the attic, not to mention possible critter ingress. To show you how radical that might be, I once saw an ant infestation where they were getting into a closet through sixty feet of abandoned galvanized water pipe. Yep, the closet smelled good from the other end of the house!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I am not disputing that this is an option. Just that it works great. If you don't have an airflow route To pull air from, It wont work. The space between door and floor is not sufficient in my opinion. The temp controller needs to run the fart fan must be a high quality and most places around here didn't even know what I was talking about. The performance was not very good without some type of air Pull.

We once used large pvc with a push fan and pull fan on each end of the pvc to dump air into an attic. I had to make a very fine mesh (like screen door mesh to me mounted on attic side of PVC so that critters couldn't get in. I saw chew marks on it last week. I think a squirrel was up there.

I have found these options towork better IMO
