integra is just TOO easy to program. The only issues we have had is with the ribbon cable on the .2's. Which can create a multitude of issues.
If the .3's start having issues we may switch to whatever Walmart sells. (joking)

can anyone else confirm the hd base t balun incompatibility with integra .3 receivers ? yes, there was an email sent out to all dealers (well at least my rep forwarded it from Integra's corporate) that addressed the issue, and had the recomended fix. If you need it feel free to PM and I will see if I still have it.

PM sent to me? i didn't get anything.
anyway after calling atlona, the balun in question that we have been using on this job - they told me that denon, onkyo and integra had the same issue with HD Base T.
they told me that denon released a firmware update that solved the issue, and they believed that integra was working on one as well.
i emailed my integra support rep and he told me that a firmware update is being released feb 20th so hopefully that update does resolve the issue.

Had and issue the other day when hooked to a Sony ES projector. Call Sony tech support, told them what was happening, and the first thing they asked was "is this hooked to an Integra". Hooked up a Sony receiver and did not have a problem.
Off subject, but have also had multiple issues with Anthem receivers and HDMI. Today I had a system with Motorola cable box, Sony Bluray, Sony receiver, and Two Sony TV's that also had HDMI issues. Just heard today that Lexicon and Mark Levinson processors are no longer going to switch HDMI, not sure if this is correct, just what I heard. If true, sounds like they just gave up trying to deal with HDMI. Wish I could!!! Ok, this last part is just my hatred of HDMI.

of note: the sub output of the 50.3 integers and highers work fine with HD Base T (my rep told me, i tried it and it does work fine).
so of the 3 receivers i have on site (20.3, 30.3, 50.3) the 50.3 works fine with HD Base T baluns when using sub HDMI output (as it has 2 outputs). so thats promising. and helpful for me right now.

Integra is our goto receiver selling dozens a month mostly 20.x and 30.x's and a few of the 50s and 70s. I have noticed a large amount of HDMI problems with the integras after they have been in for a year or two. Each time it has been a Cap and power supply issue, Integra has admited to the RA guy in my office that there is a know issue with the amount of power being supplied to the hdmi board and to fix it they are adding more capacitors and replacing the power supplies. I will continue to promote the integra product though, because I strongly feel it is a fine line, and excellent sounding.

Yes, using the sub out on the 50.3 and up receivers does fix the problem however, there is no GUI output including volume overlay on the sub hdmi out. The recommended fix from Integra at this time is a HDMI splitter/conditioner from Transformative Engineering. [Link: transformativeengineering.com]I do hope there is a firmware update soon.

I have an issue with a 30.4. Main HDMI out going to a LG55LM7600 via a pair of Binary baluns. The Sat and Bluray show up no problem. Get on screens, volume bar, and life is fine. When you select NET input video drops completely. no on screen just searching for signal on LG. Click back to Sat or Bluray and its right back. Here is the best part. It worked last week, just quit yesterday. So I swapped receiver because we had one. Same exact issue. Any ideas?

If I had another monitor or Atlona HDMI kit, I'd try that first.
Then I'd check the Integra menu for HDMI resolution.
Try another HDMI input on the LG for grins.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |

Had an issue yesterday with an Onkyo 809 not passing video over Binary HDBaseT baluns. Found out there was a FW update to resolve it. Once loaded the HDBaseT baluns were rock solid. I would try updating the FW on the Integras to see if it addresses the incompatibility issues.

I love HDMI. Component Video was too easy. This is called CI Natural Selection.
