Just got this,
It is with regret that we advise you that as of today, August 26, 2011, Contractors Wire and Cable, LLC, is closing its doors, and ceasing operations in all of its locations. This is a result of the prolonged difficult economic conditions in our industry that have adversely impacted the Company. We appreciate the support and business that you have provided to us over the years, and wish you success in the future.

Yikes. Did they have a bunch of locations? Or were they mostly e-commerce driven?

4 locations. All closed. They were direct to dealer as well as through many distribution chains.

I remember when they started the company in the early 90's, my firm at that was one of the first that went with them.

Didn't they supply AVAD? No. AVAD used Coleman for a lot of coax and cat and a smaller family owned US wire company for the original ProFlex speaker wire. The ProConnect speaker wire is from China.
