Pretty much says it all. The jump zones for kids, big blow up slides and the like.

I need to put together a music system for one and have no idea how loud the rooms get with motors and kids screaming.

I was wondering if any of you have done an install in one of these facilities, or any of you geeks have taken your kids to one and launched the SPL app on your iPhone just to see.

thanks

I have never done a jump zone AV system, but I have been to many a kids B'day party with my son (4.5YO) and I would say the volume is modest (I can only assume for safety, being able to hear a screaming kid that has busted his/her a$$ and wants their mommy/daddy), but the PA portion was loud enough to be heard over screaming kids...

Sure seems like Chuck E Cheese with kids hyped on sugar and games was just about the same level as being on the tarmac at Atlanta Hartsfield Regional airport without hearing protection on Thanksgiving weekend.

Could be just me.

Here, use this formula:

1 atmosphere = 1.0332x104 kg-m-2 = 2116.2 lbs.-ft2 = 14.7 psi = 76 cm Hg
= 1.0132x105 Pa = 197.1 dB SPL (Swing from total vacuum to 2-atm)

(Taken from Ernie's thread about some bizarre acoustical something or other)

I've got a Pump It Up right up the street (actually it's 2 buildings past ADI and Definitive Technologies, LOL), I can run up there with my SPL meter if you want.

Hey Jim,

If you have nothing better to do, make sure you leave the kids at home and wear a trench coat, no one will look at you in a wierd way.

Thank god my son is grown-up. Never did the Chuck E Cheese deal though!
