I think you should repost this in the original Pronto forum.

The original Pronto used hex codes. The New Generation Pronto used an abbreviated form of hex codes that doesn't work with many other remote control systems, so believe it or not, you should stick with the more ancient type -- at [Link: remotecentral.com].

Yes, makehex is a program that does it, but I've used makehex and it took me quite a while to figure out how to do it. The names of things in the instructions don't match the program; just what information you can get from that document is still foreign to me, even after installing the Japanese font so I could read it... Folks in that forum will have an idea how to guide you.

Please mention over there that you asked here first. It's nice if you post in two forums to say so.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

This generator does the job for both Sharp and Kaseikyo codes.

I, for one, would love to see a set of step by step instructions for this. This has the same set of instructions that I used last time I did this. I was in too much of a hurry to actually rewrite it, including the omitted details.

I find that if I read the Readmes, and I follow exactly what's there, I have no clue how to make it work. Only by poking around and guessing was I successful.

Add to that, when I look at the Denon document, I don't see the information that the program is looking for.

Yes, this program CAN make a set of perfect codes. I just can't see how to use it, and where the info is that I need if I can figure out how to use it.

you seem to have the time to complain about alot of things.  if you don't like the instructions that came with the free program, then re-write them.
