I was curious if anyone here as leaped into creating an iPad app? Pretty simple curiosity really, just a few questions.

- did you hire a firm to handle it or diy? recommendations?
- know of any good people capable of creating the app?
- where might apple list "restrictions" or criteria?
- any idea of investment costs?

Had a decent idea for a CI driven app, figured I'd see if it is feasible.

I'm working on one myself. I am new to Objective-C but not new to programming

It depends on the complication and what your plans are. I would plan on $100/hour for a good developer x 100 hours on the lower end.

i believe a full iOS dev account is $99 per year.

 Stamp turned me onto www.99designs.com when we were working on our website.  I know they also do app design.  You put in an amount of money, and the app designers compete against each other to win the money.  Works nicely, and gives you options to choose from.
