In the old days when some of these speakers had paper woofer cones, I would liberally spary them down (and the grilles) with silicone shoe spray to relpel water and give them a few extra years... Worked pretty well. I'd also spray the back of the speakers and put silicone on the terminals where the wire connected.

Thats kinda the info i'm lookin' for!
