Layering is pretty easy actually, especially when you learn that there are "alignment dots" you print (cut) and applications solutions that help you slide things around and get them straight before you really apply them.
I am sure you will end up with something you will be happy with! Just curious, have you lettered you own vehicles? Who does the design?

I do all my own, I do pay for some parts of them though, when I need pictures multigradiant logos I have them printed on viny, like your cables could be printed on vinyl, and then the rest just two layer vinyl, but I design, and apply all of them. It really is pretty easy, next time you apply a sticker try putting just a littl soap in squirt bottle with distilled water, spray liberally on both where you want it and the sticky side of the sticker, put on car and move around till your happy, then use a squeegee to get all the bubble and water out.
Let it sit for an hour to dry, and your done. also works great for applying vinyl letters/graphics. Just make sure you squeegee good and let it dry, then just peel off the application mask (vinyl)

If you notice, the bullet points are the power symbol. I am a bit iffy on the one touch remotes, what are your thoughts? Or should i replace that with home automation? Also, the back will be done, nissan placed the license plate in the most anoying spot so it doesnt really leave room for much, I dont think ill be able to fit my bullet list back there. [IMG] [/IMG]

I'd ditch "one touch remotes" as well. If you wanted to do something with remotes I think "Universal Remote Programming" or "Universal Remote Controls".
That being said, I don't think I'd waste the lettering space for remotes. I think it's safe to assume that if you do "custom audio video" you also program universal remotes.
I know that this is going to go over like a fat girl in a bikini on this forum, but I'd seriously consider putting the Bose logo on the vehicle.
Why? 1. You regularly install Bose. 2. It's a very recognizable logo. 3. No matter how we feel about Bose, the majority of consumers think it's quality product. Which IMO will give you instant credibility while driving down the road.

In your opinion Should I replace with "home Automation" or whole home audio?
The only thing is, i don't want to make it seem like I'm more geared to home systems rather then commercial (since I have it on the side of my van, and that commercial now makes up for 40% of my companny.
Although I do, do bose systems I dont want to alienate those potential customers that despise Bose. I also know within 10seconds of meeting the customer wether I'll be specking in Bose or a separate system.

That's tough, I'm not really sure if the average Joe knows exactly what home automation is exactly. On the other hand, I do like Whole House Audio. Whole House Audio would certainly lead you into automation once you get a meeting. If it were my van, I would put whole house audio, but that's because I do alot more whole house audio than I do "automation". It all comes down to what makes the phone ring for you. In general, when I get a meeting with a customer, they like to walk me through the house to show me every room that they'd lie to have speakers in. At that point, we supply the control system for ease of use, not because they're asking for it. Try to think about the best customers you have, and the ones that were good money makers. Why did they initially call you? What was the exact terminology that they used to describe their needs? Whatever that common denominator is, put that on the van. :) I have a serious interest in this, because I'm about to go through the same thing.

I would "supersize" your phone number, if someone likes whats on the side of your van, don't make it hard to see. Same with your website (although I would ditch the M2 remote in your opening flash movie for something color)
Home Automation isnt whole home audio or vise versa, you either do both or you pick which you really do. My guess is more whole house audio than automation with your comments. (might not be true) but if you have to ask then you do whole house audio not automation (IMO)
I hate to agree with the bose comment, but I would also run with it, put "Bose Authorized" or something similar, people think bose is the cats ass for some reason, although I only know of one product I would own (for 100$ less) the soundock with a battery and ipod dock, for what it is, it sound good (on my boat or at the end of a pier)

Good points indeed. This is driving me absolutely insane. On August 17, 2011 at 23:44, Crazyone said...

I dont know, i had bose on my last truck and it didnt drive business. But with my simple truck (without a phone number) i would get calls for surround sound systems, they saw the logo on my website and it was a near instant sale. I want this to drive customers to my website, i want it to drive enough curiosity for a potential customer to check it out where as for someone that needs work done they can call me to do the work off of what he saw on my truck. I am trying to cover all areas of work without actually writing them out, if that makes sense

It seems our businesses run in the same parallel universe. I just had Stamp completely re-do my site about a month ago. So I'm going to give him a testimonial. Everything turned out great. I had a hard time verbalizing exactly what I wanted. I would describe it the best I could and he would take it from there, he'd give me a couple different scenarios, and it worked out great. He was very responsive to emails and phone calls. In fact, the majority of time he worked on my site he was out of state working on an installation. Now, I'm starting to use Guijaboard for some of my custom remote needs as well. Maybe talk with Mac first so you can be sure that what you want to do on the site and the vehicle are condusive to each other?
