TIA. To be honest, i think it looks like sh!t. We install 2 of them in the same house, one TH-103PF9, which was not full HD, and one TH-103PF10, which is full HD. It doesn't worth the money, that's for sure. The HD cable box picture is a real nightmare, but i must say that it's even worse on the LG 71" (can't remember the model) that we also installed in the house. I'm just happy to had not supplied the displays on this job... One thing: in both case, we are sit at about 12 ft from the 103" which might be not enough to really enjoy the picture quality....

I have a client who wants a better, clearer picture than his current screen/PJ combo (see other post on RC) so do you feel the picture looks like shxt compared to other plasmas?

The Panny I seen didn't really blow me away either! I'm no pro but I do no what a good picture looks like! I viewed it at a store here in Toronto which probable didn't have it set-up properly. I actually remember looking at it for a while thinking, "Why, was this a product made for people with more money than common sence?" It's just not that impressive for such a unique product. It's by no means a "Kuro"; which has that "WOW" factor when you first see it! I've installed a Kuro fo a realitive of mine and I'm still blown away every time I see it! I would walk right past the panny if I were to see it again! It's no better than my PT-4000! OK maybe?
The panasonic although impressive in it's size; almost has a a "jumbotron" look to it. It's colours looked pale in my opionion. I suppose in the right environment with proper set-up it may shine; but then why not get a projector.
At the price point of the panasonic, I personally would be looking at a "Projection design/screen innovations combo" or some other quality projector/screen combo!
Although, if your client really wants one......... sell it to him! It's his money. If he gets tired of it; you can always mount it in one of hiis jets!!!!!!!!;)

spend that same budget of $40-50k on a sick ass DPI 2.35 system and he will forever be greatful, without a doubt. Give him something "special" for his money, not just a big comercial TV.

The only reason why this guy did not put is money on a projo/screen choice, is't because the twos rooms were only windows all around. So, just imagine the reflections on a 103" playing field.......

It's all about distance. I'm sure those pannies look fine at 25' or more.
Pick the right screen and projector and you can certainly smoke the pannies especially when factoring in the costs of the mount, dedicated220 volt circuit, wall securing, crane, adding dedicated ac zone and everything else the panasonic would require.

I'm saying it's a very unique device. It's a space heater with a video screen. I guess in competition with the LG refrigerator with the video screen on it?

Bluray Player looks great Vudu looks Great DirecTV looks soso depending on channel Comcast looks terrible
Extra wall construction depends on the house and weather you're planning install at build time or adding to existing wall. We have them on a 2x6 walls with backing.
Dedicated air zone is a must
Crane is not needed but if you can cut a couple holes in the ceiling and lay cross members for hoisting across the trusses you will be much happier.
All in all when first installed the feeling of accomplishment combined with cool factor and knee jerk reactions of anyone who sees it feels good. Over time your client will notice that its a bit uncomfortable to watch. Like someone said above. "Its all about distance.

I liked the picture with the PJ and vutec silver star and everyone else but him likes the picture. If I could find a PJ that would knock his socks off then I would sell a new PJ. I think he has outgrown his projector. I heard the JVC DLA PJ's were nice...
