Try the Robert the Bruce from 3F. Great Scottish style.
On the bourbon side, I picked up a great relatively inexpensive Russells Single Barrel and a Elijah Craig Barrel Proof. Both are HOT like Old Forester 1920.

my local liquor stores just started selling Three Floyds.  So far it's mostly IPAs.  I picked up one called Lazer Shark.  It's really good (for an IPA).

I didn't think there was a 10yr. I thought they started at 15yr. one of the most expensive to be found. Way above my pay. DO you have the bottle or does it belong to a friend?

Van Winkle makes a few different bottles that are the classic looking 15, 20, 23, and now a 25 year. The main ones are the "Old Rip Van Winkle" and the Van Winkle 12 year (Lot B). I know the 12 year is basically the same recipe as Weller 12 but it's just in the better areas of the rick house.

As far as most expensive, they aren't even close to some others out there. Michters 25 starts at $1200 in the retail which is a lot but it goes for 6k+ on the 2ndry market. Double Eagle Very Rare goes for 8k on the 2ndry. Pappy 15 is only $150 in the store or $1700 2ndry.

I've seen some Willets go for $13k on the 2ndry market without even haggling over the price.

My opinion on Basil Haydens. It's smooth, because you are paying for water.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

If I found Michters 25 at the store for retail @1200, I'd buy it. But I would never pay 6k. But it's really tough to answer that question. If you know the secondary market, I could easily justify paying half what they charge. If Pappy15 is normally 1750 on the secondary market, I would happily fork over 800. Normally paying 800 for a 150 bottle of bourbon would seem outrageous. But I buy to drink or trade and not to collect.

I would NEVER pay more than $6,000 bottle. True!!!

But, I'd never go over $150 either. :)

Just finished a bottle of Blackened. Bought it wanting to hate it, but it was pretty damn good.
