Can I send commands to a Chief PXRU (which has an RS485 port) from a 'normal' RS232 port from a Control4 controller? The command structure looks simple, and it's not even 25 feet of Cat5. Not sure what else might be different. Only need one-way control, and if I can wire straight to this terminal strip then it will be the cleanest way to go.
edit - nevermind. just noticed you ONLY get preset controls via serial (plus feedback, which I don't need). You still have to use IR to do incremental controls...

I know... I can ask the device for its serial number, but I can't say "go left".
