QR codes can point to just about anything or to nothing at all. They can be used just to display a message. Takes less than 2 minutes to generate one. Oh, and currently there are about 14 people on earth using them...

So you're saying you're not interested in my info? thanks for taking the time to write that without adding anything worth anyones time.

I think hes just commenting on QR codes and the fact that they havent really taken off yet. QR codes have their uses but I prefer to have my domain name posted so they can remember my name along with being able to find me. I think we are a few years out before everyone will have a scanning device (mobile phone with app). Maybe the answer is to have both? The name so people read it and the code for those who are willing to stop and scan? Would the interested party be happy with just writing down the URL making the code redundant?

I think qr codes are more flexible than they seem up front. Rather than just post your company website everywhere you can taylor your message. Say you're at a breast cancer awareness walk and you have a booth and want to offer a discount to anyone that attended the event, you could direct them to a specific otherwise hidden page of your site. With a little creativity its potentially a powerful tool. The scanner came installed on both of my android devices.

Social media is a compliment to your website IMO. I have taken a good look at alot of your websites and they are all well done... graphically. BUT....very few of the sites have been properly optimized. Qualified leads only come to your website if you have done the RIGHT kind of keyword optimization. I think most site owners focus on how nice the website looks. Nice looking is only good if people can find you. Now that your site looks great, spend more of your time on SEO and it will pay for itself. As an example, last week we had 15 good website leads. One of those leads was for a 35000 square foot new build.

A point of contention I know, but we use Google Adwords. It does well for us.

I realize you are using sarcasm but I think you are way off concerning QR codes and their use. I am starting to see QR codes EVERYWHERE. I was at a local mall with my wife last weekend and I kept seeing QR code after QR code everywhere I looked. The Sony store had a QR code on every displayed device. There were QR codes that gave you info about the mall on the "You are here" kiosks as well. I agree with Stamp, they havent taken off yet but we are very close to seeing them everywhere.

I would love to see a QR code for every parking place at the mall so that I can find my way back to my car, lol.
