I just set-up a customer's new Thorens turntable (he supplied it)...

Very nice! He used a Project phono pre-amp that even has a usb output!

The table and cartridge he said ran around a grand, and the phon pre-amp ran anoud $250 ish.

He was amazed when I told him a lot of albums are being re-issued in 180 gram (pure) vinyl!

I used to have an extensive record collection that I kept in prisitine condition thanks in part by having a Keith-Monks record cleaner & used "Last" preservative on them... Of course my ex got the records... and garage-saled them for pennies on the dollar! (sigh)

Sigh is right...
Two weeks ago I packed up my Oracle Delphi MKIII turntable, Syrinx PU tone arm, Benz micro-Glider and my Isotek substation.
They 're going into the house store room along with my record collection, Just can't devote the time to the system as I once did.
Maybe in a decade or two if I'm still around I'll put it back together once more.
I have to say though, I thought the system was worth every cent I spent on it..no regrets there.
That remote control you said was chewed up beyond repair, can I have it back?.........the dog misses it!
