I think there is an option on Sonos to enable UPnP. It should be under advanced settings. This is a very wild guess.

Pretty sure that needs to be enable in order for Sonos Network Control PC App to work. and thats working fine on my system as well.. But I'll check....

yeah, thats the trouble with dealing with a company thats 5 hours in the Future....

email is usually our best bet.. :(

I also noticed I ended up with a tpcontrol.com folder AND a touchpanelcontrol.com Folder inmy root... even though I only added the touchpanelcontrol.com one.....

something is weird..

TPControl gave me a link to a newer build and I tried that stand alone... Just raw TP Files and only thing running on the processor is the TPControl module..

Got it to work... Few things are a bit flakey... But its running in my showroom right now.. More experimentation next week.

do you know what version you are running... what steps were taken to get controller to begin to see sonos information?

2871 maybe? I can check monday when I get into the office...

This time I copied the jar Zip file to the directory that simply "appeared" after loading the module instead of creating my own as well.

load program via Netlinx Studio, then FTP into the controller and copy the java files into the touchpanelcontrol.com directory. once thats copied, then reboot the controller again.

Also, verify that your on 3.60.x Firmware on the controller and have device firmware 1.30.8 Device firmware on your controller.

Hi

Just thought I should but in here, be it a little late. Sonos is not locked down, but complies to most of the UPNP specification for UPNP renderers/servers. With a little patience you can do quite a lot with it.

I've just about finished a Sonos module in Netlinx, without all the DUET stuff...its all native Netlinx code. Will service up to 20 sonos devices, it currently deals with stored music and I'm just finishing the web services for the TuneIn radio. Its currently in a couple of test sites. Screen shots below:

The module is totally UPNP compliant, self discovers, allows a single button to be mapped to controlling specific players etc...
