I have an issue that I am trying to figure out and I'm close to smashing things.

I am working on a 7 zone distributed audio system which consists of 2 X proficient audio M4's , 1 source dock, a Denon AVR in the rack for its FM tuner. 3rd Party control is from an HAI omnipro Customer only wants 1 ipod and occasionally the radio to listen to. What I want is that ipod to be controlled from any keypad while docked and song metadata to be sent to the OmniTouch 5.7 touch panels.

In 7 of the music rooms there is a PMK keypad. The M4's have the latest ancient firmware, 1 is set to master, second to slave, The Source dock adapter is plugged into the expansion port via RJ45 , the second m4 expansion port feeds the the M4 RS232 control module, loop out port from module goes to slave.

1. When my iphone is plugged into the dock, i get a msg that this device is not optimized yada yada, but then the screen says connected. Audio out from the source adapter is feeding zone 1 on main unit. I cannot access any functions, cant even play it, refuses to work. When I plug the mini to rca cable direct to headphone jack audio works fine just cant control.

2. When testing audio from the HAI touch panels I hit audio and it brings up a listing of all the zones and when I select a room a virtual PMK appears I get two way feedback on volume levels when I am listening to a source.

3. I can't initiate party mode from the touch panels or all off.

3. Is there a way to get another virtual style kp on the touch panel like the source kp (looks like speaker craft mode)?

Any assistance to help me lower my blood pressure is much appreciated.
