Would anyone like to be fantastic industry pal and let me know of a good disty to source Integra product? I've been up and down lists to no avail. A PM would be great.

Thanks!

You need to know the secret handshake before you are allowed to carry them. Good thing, too.

Not available through Disty, and last I heard aren't taking on any new direct dealers either.
Hey, careful man, there's a beverage here!

And you've got to meet specific requirements to even be considered to become a dealer.

Yeah, that was my fear, thanks for the info. Anyone have a favorite, fairly price protected, easily controlled brand? I get tired of having Amazon over my shoulder....

Then you are in the wrong business my friend. Between Amazon, eBay, Buy.com, and dozens of others, there are virtually NO protected brands anymore. Just about every brand is available at cost somewhere on the internet and just about every rep will lie to your face and tell you it isn't.
The few truly protected brands left out there are like Integra = very hard for small dealers to get setup with due to the commitment requirements (read: spend big money with them).
You have the cash, you can buy & sell anything you want. The statement "Integra isn't taking any new dealers" is B.S. If you flash a huge opening order with them and a commitment to order huge amounts of inventory each year to a rep, he will set you up in a heartbeat. This IS a fact. As long as you don't break any of their sales policy.

Integra did just double the sales volume requirement and shut off all dealers that were below the fold. Imagine the shock on my face while my rep was telling me this....followed by...........but you did fine last year. The pucker factor was pretty high for about 2 minutes. They also did an audit to shut down all the trunkslammers without at least a warehouse in a commercially zoned area. I gotta say other than some bookkeeping issues they are pretty good to deal with and my rep firm takes care of all issues promptly. Gotta give them a lot of respect for keeping the line so clean. They are the best AVR on the market IMHO. If you can hack the volume I would highly recommend looking into the line.

Oh and they are distributed through some of the rep firms but the qualifications are really not any different than direct these days except the creditworthiness is not as much of a factor.

My company is currently getting rid of Integra. Way too many HDMI issues. The Yamaha's may be kinda wussy and limited, but I haven't had ONE with a single problem yet. And with also having Rotel and Anthem available to sell, losing Integra will have zero effect.
