I have a client that wants wireless headphones to wear while she is running on her treadmill. The headphones base will attach either to the tv or the receiver and send wireless audio back to the headphones. Any recommendations? Price is not really an object, just quality. Thanks.

The best quality I've found have been the Sennheisers for about $150. I haven't bought any for a while and don't remember the model numbers.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I currently use Sennheiser RS130's. Sound quality is excellent. Couldn't be happier with them. They're RF so line-of-sight isn't an issue. I think I paid around $250.00 a few years ago. Probably less now.

Go with rs160 or above. That's their next gen wireless headphones with klear technology. Better charging and better range.

Your cleints don't mind the big puffy over-ears while sweatin' to the oldies??

I'm looking for a wireless ear-bud, but in my client's case cost is an issue and the MX-W1 are too pricey.

Any other thoughts?

+1 sennheiser. Rs160 or whatever fits your budget. Note: every time we have done headphones it has been in the MBR. Why would you need them in the gym anyway? We usually do 8" ic's or 6" with a sub.

I sold and installed a 3 pairs of RS180's for a guy the other day for a couple of his rooms for tv/music when his wife is asleep. Both he and I were very impressed with the sound and comfort. Much lighter and breathe better than the ones a few years ago. I have sold many pairs of the different Sennheiser models over the past few years, and always been happy with them.

So, that is my +whatever for the Sennheiser's.

I've been using Turtle Beach x41's, which are designed for gaming, but the mic is detachable and the base uses an optical input. The nice part is they are 7.1, so listening to movies on them is incredible.

You can pick them up for $149 at BB. They also take analog input as well.... check them out if you get a chance. Battery life is about ten hours at moderate volume, but I have been using rechargables since day one.

When playing Call of Duty, you can hear a guy reloading his weapon half way across the map and the exact direction it is coming from..... it's almost too easy.

Like everyone else, I use the Sennheisers for home audio stuff, but use a wireless solution from Broadcast Vision for gym/home gym.

[Link: broadcastvision.com]

A big benefit for gym applications is that you don't have to worry about a location for the charging base like with the Sennheiser's.  The transmitter and receiver both require power, but the receiver is made to mount on exercise equipment and you can use any 1/8" ear buds or headphones.

The receiver can also be powered by CSafe port which is found on most commercial and high-end home exercise equipment.

Broadcast Vision is easy to get setup up with for dealer pricing.
