5 Zee Vee 150 5 Direct TV HD's 30+ Panasonic C2's DBX Zone Pro 640 Gefen GTV-DD-2-AA
So I'm using the Gefen convertor optical out off a Panasonic C2, into the Gefen piece. Then analog to the Zone Pro.
Couple times an hour, the sound will pop, then go out for a second or two, then come back on. As if I'm unplugging the RCA's out of the Gefen and making the DBX pop.
My first thought. Maybe it's happening when a commercial comes on that's not in DD. But this is happening regardless. Happen all during the game on Sunday.
I've tried turning DD off on the DTV receivers.
There aren't really any setting on the Panasonic to try.
I really need a technical explanation off what the problem could be!
My only other option is to install a DVD recorder with a QAM tuner and use the analog outs to the DBX for sound. It's bull shit Panasonic stopes putting analog out on there sets!

I don't know what the DBX unit is (but assume it's some type of audio matrix?) so why aren't you taking analogue directly out of the DirecTV receivers instead of modulating it along with the video via the ZeeVee and converting optical out of the PDP back to analogue? Using PDP speakers as well?

The sound is fine thru the tv. It's a bar so it's eerier to assign one tv and tell the client that this is his "tv sound" tv.

I am unclear as well.... Why don't you use the analog outs of the DTV boxe(s) to feed the Zonepro?
