Specifically, the GWAV8141K. Has anyone ever used or looked at this yet?

I have a client looking at this and I'm still a little skeptical since its wireless. I have a PS3 and a WII in a closet about 25' away (one sheetrock wall between) and it would be connecting to a Samsung 55" LCD.

The cable run would be at least 60 feet or more with the up, around over, along with the extra labor to install (and HDMI & component baluns). I don't want this to be my "go to" product, but it would be great fit for this one client.

I have used IOGEAR speciifically and it came out fantastic. Customer wanted to put a fairly large TV in his kitchen and it was too disruptive and difficult to wire, so he was fine with wireless. I was skeptical, but I had seen a demo before and was convinced it works well, but I was worried in practice it would disapoint.

It's working great and the customer is happy. It's not for everyone and the situation has to call for it and have the right climate, but it works well when it is done in optimum environments.

One of my distys has had one up and running for 4 or 5 monthes and it looks awesome. I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it. When I first saw it I was unaware it was wireless. It also transmits IR back to the transmitter and has four inputs with discrete command though I don't know about power. Unfortunately, I just know that it will suck in Manhattan

Not to hijack the thread...I wonder how it would work coming out of an AVR rather than just a random device.   Does anyone have any experience with it?

be careful of distance and resolutions. I've did one of the previous version IOgear units and it worked from upto about 15 feet away, though once I tried to hide/tuck the receiver behind the TV it failed.

it also failed if when something passed (ie me or my arm) through the transmission path, so be careful. I wouldn't recommend the previous version as a solution unless its a last resort or just a nice "bonus" feature...but maybe the newer version will work better. good luck.
