I just had four video zones with no video using the above cable from *******cable. Anyone have any problems with this cable? Luckily I ran the 5 conductor and was able to grab additional wires for component connection to get the video. Also had one run with just one good wire in it. I changed that out with a Planet Waves cable and got video.

I'd be more suspicious of the terminations than the wire.

Sh*t happens.

We completed a massive home cinema system overseas that used IP-addressable individually switchable power strips, among other IP-addressable stuff. All was well.

The first time the client went to use the system, they got no sound. Fortunately, he and his brother are geeks. They climbed into the room behind the screen and were able to figure out that a power cord was bad, stopping all audio.

One of my sons is a computer expert and he flat out did not believe me when I told him a computer problem I had was caused by a ribbon cable that went to the hard drive. I opened the case and showed him that when I held the cable in a certain position, the computer stopped working.

In 1977 I wired a store demo room with Belden 16-2 SPT-2 (thick lamp cord). After all wires had been pulled, it was found that about 150 feet of the wire had just one conductor; the other side was just insulation.

Sh*t happens. Don't give up on any particular thing because of one outrageously impossible flaw.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

That's what I thought at first. I have never had a problem with there connectors or terminations. Just a weird thing I guess.
