AVRs are under the Audio section
if you have access to any other URC stand alone editor or CCP, it is easier to just look up the devices and make note of the Device code numbers.

Being a URC dealer/programmer, I really like the MX-450. It feels better in my hand than a 900, 880, or 980. And since I have access to using other remotes to teach the 450 codes that are not in the internal database, I think I will probably pick one up for use in my home. It is a slick remote and as long as you do not need variables or other "trickery", it can function as well as a 900 or higher remote for much less cost.
I tell our sales guys to never sell them though. :)

I really want to know why URC hasn't just made this thing PC programmable. having an internal database and a USB port seems like its ready to go....oh well. I bought one to try at home and hated it. I change gear around in my testing area and it became a pain in the arse. I will never sell one to a client. It is a nice solution for guys who need to keep something on a truck but it is too time consuming for me.

I use it for 1 room budget systems all the time. It does have a nice feel to it. Only thing I don't like is having to push a button to wake it up before it will respond. Usually only takes 30 minutes to set up. (Still prefer the 880 though for feel and pc programming.)

Duct i understand what the model line up but they have to be able to hit this price point with some PC programming. No need to change any hardware or build quality. The 880 is twice the price.

Maybe PC programming costs more!
"Don't change hardware" ? ? The very first thing you have to do to make a unit that programs with a PC is to use different hardware.

This remote has been my best kept secret for the past couple of years and I would love it if my competitors thought it was crap and kept doing MX900s. Anyone who doesn't see the beauty in this remote has never used one, has spent little time with it or doesn't know how to be creative. I've done over 100 of these for systems small and large. Prodigy is my only step up.

You can still buy a MX850.
