Just wanted to voice my opinion....Ethereal Balun with two CAT6 Shielded.

Do they have a balun that actually uses the ground on the shielded cat 6?

My understanding is that the shielding doesnt do anything if it isn't grounded.

Just curious.

I think you'll be fine with a good quality HDMI cable, but beware of 3D and switching through a receiver.

That has not gone well for me with long distances.

Run 3xCat6, 1x18-2 & 1xFiber or ignore the 18-2 and have electrician drop a dead leg and put in a power kit. Plus a conduit.

I HATE HDMI, I'm nearly to the point where if its over 25' they HAVE to pay for fiber solution or go componenent. I'm considering testing the Just Add Power Gen 2 piece based on recent feedback.

I need to connect a DirecTV HD receiver with a 10 meter HDMI cable on Wednesday. I plan to install a SNAP HDMI, two CAT5 and a quad shield coax.

Maybe by the time the HDMI 2.0 comes out they will have a reasonably priced HDMI to coax adapter.
