WHen I get around to hanging it on the wall, I plan on. Of course, I was planning on the same thing with my old 42" LG as well.. It sat on its base for 6+ years.. :(

We always neglect our own systems dont we?

I'm hoping to hold off until I get a new Surround Receiver. Still using an old Denon AVR5802.. No HDMI Switching.... so I've got 4 HDMI Cables going to the set right now...

On the Samsung Un55c6500. I'm looking all over this thing and can't find it anywhere. I'm assuming the blue flashing light is also where the sensor resides. Thanks for any help

Stick it right on top of the red power light. That is where it is, guaranteed

Someone's comment about the manual made me google the model number. The first response at Samsung.com led me to the manual. Page 7 shows, although not with the greatest clarity, that the IR sensor IS EXACTLY where the power light is!

I guess you're not going to see an IR window if you're seeing a power light window and it never occurs to you the two might be in the same place!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

So 1st. I was given and quoted the wrong model number. It's an UN55BX8000XF (ZA)

That said, there is NO visible IR window on the front of the set at all. EX-Link on rear is all. I'm in the process of removing the back panel now. Can any of you gentlemen point me to the it location.

I did take pics of the non existent IR window though.

Samsung's are always difficult to find. Even with a flashlight you cannot see them. I just had to go stick an emitter back on a tv that the cleaning woman knocked off (despite me telling them not to let the cleaning people near the tv). It was a Samsung LCD and it was about 2 or 3 inches to the left of the center of the tv. I believe the power button was right in the center. I kept hitting "TV ON" on the remote and moved the emitter around till I found it.

You are the winner! It was about 1" to the left of the S and halfway between the S and the bottom edge of the set. Without removing the back panel I would have had to get lucky to find it.
