Ask me how I know....

We just brought on a newbie a month ago, and whenever I give him some advise or a tip or what to watch out for.... I follow it up with "ask me how I know"!

Yup.
(OT) Just yesterday we had to retofit a coax & cat5 to an office in a basement and hang a tv. The whole basement was open, and only had to drill 2 holes. I had the new guy run the wire and drill the holes. When the time came to drill I showed him where to drill "and" to watch out for the romex. Guess what he didn't miss??? The office door was closed and when I saw sparks I knew what he did. Luckily it was the last leg running to a smoke detector. 6ft of 14-3 and all fixed.

He tries but we're trying to get him to slow down. I think he thinks we need to rush and get things done quickly. I keep telling him, when you rush, you make mistakes. He's a good guy though, and willing to do anything.
