The Rovi Company has heard the message in my emails, and anyone else who emailed them to let them know we wanted the numeric power option back on the Scientific Atlanta cable converters. We have seen this week that there is an update to the Aptiv Passport software on the Scientific Atlanta boxes on our cable system. Now when the box is off and you press channel up or channel down button it has a new on-screen message that says, "Press the 'Power' button or any 'Numeric' key to turn on the cable box." Hooray for Aptiv for responding to the shortfall in their recent software upgrade. And hooray for anyone else who sent them a message to let them know what we needed to make our remotes work better for our clients.

If they were willing to go to all of that... you should have pushed for proper discrete codes. :-)

My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder." |
