I Want to put a floorstand and a desk stand in our store for customers to see and try our iPad home control apps.
Is there a floor/desk stand that looks great and secures the iPad so i dont have to buy new ones every week? Maybe with a alarm that goes off when removed.

We actually have a stand that will work perfect for you. It is adjustable and we have models that work with iPad 1 and 2 and the Xoom. www.padholdr.com

I would like those a real version of the beyond kiosks stand, the picture looks like a drawing. We are thinking of building a iPad solid stand also if the demand is there.

I like the idea of blocking out the home button but how do you turn the screen on when it goes to sleep?

I am looking for something for a theater room, but a little more dressed up and elegant - not so much foldable and wirey. Anyone know of something that has a pedestal like look but small enough to not obstruct in a theater room?

There are some cool options out there. Go to google images and search for "ipad floor stand". Here are a couple. [Link: en.ipad-floorstand.com][Link: ipad-butler.nl]Another option would be to use whatever table/wall mount you want and have a base made at a local metal shop.
