Update the firmware in your 7005. It doesn't have app support out of the box. Where's the Marantz guy when you need him?

that is funny! speaking of the 7005, where does that fit among its denon cousins? seems comperable with the 3311?
I love supporting product that supports me!

Forgive me, how do I do this? "Go to the online portal" via the receiver, the app or the website (marantz.com)?

go to the online portal and save your settings then do a processor hard reset. This should solve your problem! I had the exact problem on my denon 3311ci, worked like a charm.

The Marantz will need to have an update performed on it via the system setup menu in the AVR first. After the AVR is updated you will need to download the Marantz App from the Apple App store.

I have tried this and it says update "latest" and when I try to perform the update nothing seems to happen and it returns to the same page.

Yes, the AVR is online because I can stream from pandora and other internet sites as well as access the AVR from the browser on the LAN. Is there a way to see which firmware version I have installed on the AVR?

Anything else you can suggest?

Delete the App. Go to the App store and re-download the App. Anything after that, I would recommend contacting Marantz.

Matt,

I tried deleting the app and then reinstalling it on the phone, I get the same effect, the app only shows the "DEMO" receiver.

Since I've had the SR7005 I've not been able to perform an update (because it's always shown "latest") So I'm to assume that I've always been running the most current build? Since there is no where I can find out what actual version /number of firmware I'm running I'm assuming it's the latest. That being said, what can I do to get this Wizz App to recognize my AVR.

I'm about to do a hard reset on the AVR and see if that helps things.

Not sure. Everything that I have suggested is what I have done on the Denon's and it worked. I would call Marantz tomorrow if I was you.

They released an update of "Wizz" that still doesn't recognize my AVR... wish there was a Marantz guy on this forum who could help. I will have to call the big M next opportunity I have (when I'm home)

for the Airplay end of it there seems to be a lot of interest for just audio via Airport Express(es) as well. (although a lot of out of sync audio unless you use N mode). hopefully this is not the case with denon's implementation since it is really all from the same distribution source.

You need to run the latest update on the AVR and also update the App to 2.23 vers.

I'm also making a large assumption that you have a xx11ci AVR supports networking.

Hi Matt,

I see that a bunch of airplay related upgrades came out from Apple today. Do you know when the Denon RCD-N7 is scheduled to get its own Airplay update?

Also, I bought my receiver prior to Nov 7th. I believe the upgrade is supposed to be free for customers who bought their device prior to that day. Do you know how to go about contacting Denon to get the free upgrade? I called support a couple of times, but I'm afraid I couldn't get a definite answer.

Thanks!

I have been told it goes live Dec. 1st

Not sure what to say on promotions as it's not my area. Denon tech support isn't going be much help either. If there was a special promo I would have heard something by now. I will try to get an answer from the sales department and report my findings.
