The CORE of Savant's product is its built in HDMI 1.3, 1080p matrix switching over IP using Vlans, managed switches and IP converters at each source and TV? Really?
Your Apple fanboi-ism pales in comparison to your Savant fanboi-ism which is saying something.
Ahhh, the beauty of the internet. You've got to love it. Someone who doesn't know me nor have they ever had a conversation with me is enough of a ...... to call me a fanboi.
It's great when you twist an argument to the point of being non-sensical. The core of Savant's line IS OSD & matrix switching period (1080P hdmi, component, composite, digital & analog audio). Design your jobs around that and you're fine.
IF you came across an existing job that only had distributed cat5 Savant would have NO problem in assisting in creating a driver that would allow you to complete the job with JAP or anyone else.
Savant has to look out for their best interests, and I have to look out for mine. If a product really & truly doesn't fit the job I can always use something else.
If you don't like their business model don't buy the product. Don't call me a fanboi because I don't have a problem with it. I'm sure you would tell me to pound sand if I came to you as a customer (or vendor) and opined you were running your business/division wrong because it didn't benefit me in the way that I wanted.
Savant will provide an SDK if and when they see fit. I'm OK with that.
