Please share your questions and responses. I know, I'm interested in the product and thier dealer's feedback.

I'm not a Savant dealer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Sometimes my employees call me an Idiot Savant. Often with emphasis on the first word.

I agree. Primarily because the retail on the basic OSD processor is around $3800.

the reason for asking is i attempted to contact them to find out how a 3rd party can write a driver for their system. They asked what it was for. I said an rs232 driver that will control a just add power system. they told me they felt it was a competing product and because i was not a dealer with platinum support service that they would not help me. So i was trying to find out what type of language their drivers are written in since they arent helping me. I have one dealer working on it for me and wanted to see who else dealt it on here.

Thats hilarious. You are attempting to write a driver for a product that their dealers can use and they wont help you. Classy company.

Not trying to defend them but would Crestron help you write an AMX driver?

BTW, when I asked them before about drivers, they said they are the only ones who can write them. That was one of my major concerns about using their system in that I would be at mercy of them choosing to do this work or not (and what priority they would assign to it). This was a year ago....
