btw, do some research on HDMI and HDMI baluns. Dont ever bring up a single cat HDMI solution again.

What, you don't like having to plug your blu-ray in with a hard HDMI cable to get the TV to recognize it's EDID, then take it off and hook up the HDMI baluns and hope it doesn't loose it??

If you're lucky, your single cat5 balun will have a little dial that you can show the customer how to adjust WHEN the picture goes out.

Every single one of you needs to attend a Jeff Bocacio class on HDMI (except maybe ProAudio). Its not just about resolution. Its not just about distance. Its not just about cables.

In this case the guy is screwed. Everything is wrong. However, we need to stop saying "just run component". We wont be able to forever.....and from what I have seen from HDMI when it works, I dont want to run from it forever.

Component is his only option since he only has one cat5.

And as for "when it works", thats a very big when,
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.
