Hope someone can help - I am on a jobsite and the customer has a Samsung UN55B8000 Samsung LED which was delivered with a DOA remote. Was hoping someone could provide me with the codeset (in any format) for this newer model. I imagine the POWER ON/OFF and the obvious commands are the same as others, but this remote has internet capabilities he wants to utilize so there are additional codes like INERNET, MEDIA PLAYER, etc.

Also, there is a COMPONENT source (vs. COMPONENT 1,2,3) - anyone know where to reliably get this one? Hopefully someone could come through with these for me. Would greatly appreciate the help.

Thanks,
Vincent

PS - I am waiting for the place to be cleaned up before I can begin playing with some of the commands hence the confusion about the Component input.

I don't have an 8000 in front of me to test but I remember reading in 2 different threads, on here, that the Sammy 2008 code set works (URC) and that the internet features are RF codes, not IR.
Someone please correct me if I am remembering this incorrectly from the previously posted threads.

i have installed a few and the regular LN codes plus the discrete codes should work. as for the internet stuff i think you need the yellow, blue, green, codes

You might want to use the HLP series for that one - I believe they have it...

I just did one today. I didn't see a 2008 code set in the URC database. I used the 2007 set which worked with a little tune up effort.

There are no codes available yet. I will be relentless at CEDIA to get discrete HEX codes

If your trying to get them from a Samsung rep..........

GOOD LUCK.

I don't think they know what hex, much less a discrete code is!!

It is a nice looking set however.

Not yet, I think the URC codes all work good, except I still can't get the internet button for these........ I know the 7000 series would work, anyone have one of these that they could learn real quick?

I would like the Internet button as well and have found nothing. I make an call to Samsung but they claim they cannot give out codes because they dont have them. And that was tier two support. Universal is requesting them for the needed codes to add to their library. If so has had any luck since this last thread please let me know.
