I have a URC MX-880 that I want to control a PS-3. Does anyone have an opinion on some of the 3rd party adaptors either good or bad?

Schmartz is the one I like. Also, take a look on the front page. Dan did a review of the most popular ones.

With the BlueBeam, for discrete power you need to enable either the internal variable or USB power sense option. Then any key will turn the system on, and "power off" will turn it off. (Note that "power off" will NOT turn the system on when it is off.)

I did not hook up the usb for power, I used the batteries as a trial to see how long they would last. I found that power off also turns the blu ray player on as well as off. When you say internal variable, Which device are you saying need to be enabled? 880? Blu beam?

Dude, you've got 5 posts... and I can't make sense of any of them. Ha-Ha! I just read his five posts. They read like some bad haiku or something. Imagine them being read in a smokey coffee house, in the fifties, the faint smell of reefer and somebody playing the bongo drums.....
