Could someone please send me the reset for the trap switch on my Pioneer PDP6070PU. I had to change the power supply and fell into the trap. Thanks in advance.

you might want to do a search this topic comes up at least once a month. And it almost always sends Jed into a frenzy, so we are trying to keep his blood pressure down right now..... so search on and you will find.

Drum roll please.... look at post #72

It's probably about as much help as you are going to get around here.

Or you'll need to get yourself a service manual
I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

What the hell! You idiot! I gonna beat Jim's butt and go throw your plasma off.....oh wait it just is not worth it any more..... :-)

Yeah...I am real happy that a copied page out of my $400 Pioneer master service manual is now posted all over the net. I am glad Pioneer is getting out of the biz so that they will not sue me for giving away the secret :-)

I love the trap switch thread... especially post 50 where you decided enough was enough and then 52 when fix4fun4u decided he was smarter than everyone else and then gwilly put him in his place.

And who could forget about yoyohong "and Power to the DIY!!!!
Knowledge is power!!!" and then CCD told him "Great now go back to AVS and do yourself :-)"

LOL

At the risk of making folks blood pressure rise - the picasa link in post #72 seems to no longer takes you to the page with Jed's notes...
.....so it appears the "the truth is no longer out there"

I have PM'd him, but he's not replied, so I guess I'm thought of as just another idiot.

I tried the command sequences elsewhere in the thread, but my 434HDE/R04E is not responding...

This site is not very friendly. People need a little help when a company like Pioneer puts out trash and calls it a Service Manual. I was looking at my PDP-6071/PU/KUCXC Circus Manual and to use your remote to get into factory mode you use the Generation 6 procedure, what kind of help is that??? Yeah I have the Trap switch BS problem too after replacing my main board and we all know those aren't cheap.
