I have one of those Rich, hind site is 20/20 customers, who did not believe me when I said buy now because they will be gone soon. Of course now he is pissing and moaning because the clients, as you probably know are all sold out.

So I figured someone out there, may have one on the shelf that they want to sell off. If so let me know, as I am in the market for an Orion or a Taurus client that is not more than a year – year half old. If it is not a newer model I would have to send it to future IT for an upgrade so as to be compatible with the other newer units. But If that is what I have to do so be it.

Thanks,

David

Don't read my answer. Someone else will go into great detail as to why I am wrong rather than answer the original question...

what was the problem?

Didnt work in our application, We couldnt get the informatoin to display correctly on a Crestron TPS2000 touchpanel, tried working with them for months and after all the issues they say it wont work on a TPS2000, told us we messed with the software and firmware and that was related to some of the issues we had...Which is funny because every other day that we went out to the clients home to fix the issues, they remotely logged in and started changing FW and adding software updates.

The units were consistantly locking up, recorded TV would only play in the rooms it was recorded in, DVD's that were saved to the hard drive would freeze up and not be watchable on any tv

Some of it was our fault....asking it to do to much. record TV, DVD's Radio and act as a source for house music, they are our first only and last Media servers.

Client was ready to sue us because his system didnt work, could barely watch recorded TV, units were hard to operate for him, always rebooting them due to lockups...I guess we learned a lesson the hard way...dont deal with new companies and a microsoft backbone

Heck Yeah! That'd be great! I've got some good pictures of the Big D, that would crack him up, from when he was working on this 36,000 sq foot place back in 84 or 85! He basically did that whole place by himself, with one other guy... What a trooper! And I kept coming up with MAJOR change-orders!
Interesting that C.S. is using Apple products in his place! LOL!!!

I'll mark the dates down in my book!
