Yesterday I went to visit a client because his WiFi on iPod was not working and the world was coming to an end; this is his only computer/email/web access gizmo.

I show up and ask what happened.

He tells me that his iPod broke and he took it to Apple store and they fixed it, but now WiFi doesn't work.

I go into settings, guess what...

Literally 17 seconds later, I was done.

He also had me look at his iPhone as it never works in the house.

Yeap, you guessed it.

This one was very close to my house (~1mile each way).
When I came come about 20min after I left, wife asked me what I have forgotten as she couldn't believe that in 2014 someone could still be so clueless.

Mike, take care of that issue the next time he calls! Get right up, grab some batteries, swap them out, then hand him a bill for $300 dollars and have it made out....

Service call to change out batteries in remote control.

I'd stop at a CVS and buy the batteries, have them in the little white CVS bag, after all you need a tax deduction on this job!

:)
Bill's Electric & Home Theater & Plumbing & Automation & Small Engine Repair, and Animal Removal Services......did I mention we do remotes also?

You almost hit the nail right on the head. I bill him $360 though :-)

Showing pictures like that you deserve your location. I did not need to see any pictures on blue water.

I just upgraded one of my longtime customers and as I walk through the garage I notice he replaced his BMW M6 with a brand new black Audi R8...a nice tip would be to take that for a ride!!

Well if you want to go there, anyone who can afford to own either one can afford to own both so that would be the proper answer.

But a one time drive, Ferrari for me.

Oh and my new favorite client just upgraded the empty spot in his garage with a F430. His wife already offered me a drive....not sure he knows about it yet. Yikes.

A guy before me tried the 360 Modena, and it sounded like crap. (Maybe had a defective exhaust). They also had a 458 italia. Now that's a nice car, sounded amazing but it was out of my budget... FYI 5 laps r8 = 230$. 5 laps in the 458 italia = 575$
