revisited a project we 99% wrapped up months ago. have had a lot of schedule conflicts in order to get back out. Today I installed the final engraved keypad buttons and tested some issues he was having. Now waiting on programmer for fixes and can finally collect the last payment.
Met with new client and we are on board with a budget and system features so just need to close the sale with the proposal. This is an upgrade project replacing an old Niles DA system and upgrading his 10 year old AVR and DVD plus adding Family room control. Probably will be Crestron, but not sure yet. Roughly a 10k-12k project.
We're just finishing up a big rough-in and a couple large commerical wiring jobs. I've been running with my head cut off for a couple months now and am anxious for a bit of a slow period to get caught up on admin work and some cleanup of our storage and van.
I'm working on possibly getting another decent sized custom home that's being built. Not a lot, but with a couple 5.1's and some lighitng, it could be $40k-$60k...we'll see. Client seems like a tough sale.
My partner is leaving the company and next week is his last week here. Not on bad terms nor b/c business is slow, he's just ready to move back to the where we came from and be closer to family since they had a baby. This is a huge change for me and will take some major adjusting time.
Lastly I put in an order for a office we are doing in 2 weeks that is getting a Crestron DMPS-300 system ipad in-wall dock and ipad for control. A couple 70" displays in the conference room and 2 55" in other offices. All together should be a good project.

Wrecked the company van, hitting two other vehicles. No one was hurt and my van took the brunt of the damage. Insurance co. will probably total it.
I didn't realize traffic was stopping and glanced at the GPS at just the wrong moment. I couldn't stop in time and made the decision to aim for the gap between the car in front of me and the oncoming pickup instead of rear-ending the car in front of me. The van is probably 6'6" wide and I'd guess the gap between the two vehicles was about 6'. I knew I wasn't going to make it but thought it would be the lesser of two evils.

Glad no one was hurt though. That is what really matters.

I've been traveling for 15hrs to try and get home from Lutron shade training in Florida and still have a couple hours before I'm home. Original flight from Fort Lauderdale was canceled because one of the flight crew died? Have to say that's the first time I've had a flight cancelled for that reason.
They stuck me on flights for tomorrow, but I ended up getting a flight out of Miami which got me to LA but now I'm in a bus for the 3hr drive to Santa Barbara. I've been in 1 cab, 3 shuttles, 1 train, 1 plane and 2 busses today... travel sucks!

Wow. I would have given up already :). My gf drove to West Palm Beach (from Chicago) a few weeks ago and stuck around until last week when we drove to Long Island NY together. Tired of airports. I think im going to drive everywhere from now on.

sitting in KFC as whilst on way to a home cinema project in south london, my clutch master cylinder decided to retire in a blaze of glory.
90 seconds later two policemen with sub-machine guns proceeded to open my door for me.
Oops it gave up right outside government building , still rac were summoned by them and on the spot within 3 minutes. Result on a wet horrible London summers day :)

So what was the outcome? Did they just tow you off, or was there more to it than that?
