Wrapping up a job tomorrow and headed to another. Finally loading the MTX-3's and distributing them tomorrow. Here is a pic of one of my junior techs getting ready to load 16 of the 19 remotes.

Disregarding the remotes, I'm very jealous of that thunder bolt display, Mac

Very nice ride, I'm debating on new NV or Sprinter. Ha. It actually has the "manual automatic" mode. The shift up and down is a small up/down lever placed on the shifter. I have to say the hightop was pretty cool once you are standing in it. I just can't see myself driving it. I'm debating whether to get a ladder rack for my 28' ladder. I barely use it and could probably get by with my Werner ladder that I believe extends to about 20'. I have had a few occasions where the only parking is a garage and I couldn't get my van it due to the ladder. My accountants office has garage parking, but luckily there is enough space in the delivery parking area. Will have a better idea on how much I like the van after the shelving is installed and I can start loading it up.

Welcome to the world of NV! The navi system is pretty blah, but it does work and I like the XM sat radio. Dunno how your area is, but might want to get one of these: [Link: amazon.com]I noticed that the Nav is a little slow to connect when turning it on. I haven't used it yet though. I will set it for my trip to my disty for a training session today to test it out. The bluetooth works well, but its a bit annoying. I press the phone button and from there it is of course all voice activated. It will ask what I wish to do, and have a list of about 5 or 6 options. It will read back all of those options before beeping and waiting for your voice prompt. So I say "call". Next screen will have several more options, such as "say a name", "list names", "say phone number"... Have to wait for it to read back all these options before beeping and waiting for voice prompt again. I think it was about 4 of these menus deep before it makes a call. I briefly tried the manual mode but didn't dive to deep into it. It seemed like it would be a pain too. At least answering the phone should be easier. There is both an aux input and a usb input that I will try out on my ride today. I was told that it will allow control of the iPhone. Not sure how much control if any so we'll see. I have never had an issue with anyone trying to steal my gas. Now you will have me paranoid and will probably end up ordering that cap.

You can push the talk button to interrupt the list of commands.

Did a small install for a friend of mine today. This job kept me up last night tossing and turning. I'd never removed a mirror this size from a wall, especially by myself. As you can see, I taped the mirror, tarped the floor and went to town with a pry bar. I had it down in about an hour, cleaned up, broken into pieces and loaded in the back of the van. I've hired this out a few times in the past, to the tune of $300 each time. They called me last night at about 8pm and said they couldn't make it...I didn't want to reschedule so I did it myself. Drywall repair and paint the next couple of days, then a Episode Soundbar going under the TV.

Gives me chills just thinking about it. Sometimes, If you need it done and stay on schedule, you just have to get it done.
