Our due date is 12-12-12... baby boy.  I guess if the world ends in December, I won't have to worry about saving for college!

Approached by GC/Builder (Chic) while I was on a retrofit project next to her newly build home, an expensive one.

She asked: "What do you do at this residence?"

I replied: "I am a low voltage guy, I am responsible for Audio/Video system, including Lighting Control and Networking when this house is done with remodeling."

"Oh, great.  I like to work with someone can be competitve with the guy we're currently use."

= looking for someone even cheaper..

Congratulations to both of you, wonderful news!

Doctor: "Congratulations Mr. Griffin it's a girl!"

Enjoying a relaxing time in a Beach house in Destin. Why do I still find myself on this blog and finishing estimates while I am on vacation? Cause my life sucks

This is a little job I just finished up. It has security, structured wiring, and 6 zones of audio, one of which is a video zone. This main zone has Totem speakers, Mac Mini running through a Music Hall 25.3 tube DAC, URC control.

The client was not interested in using a multi-room solution like Sonos because he insists on using high quality 2-channel "legacy" source components. That is where the DAC came in for the Mac Mini, plus a Marantz CD player, Tuner, and Oppo BD. At some point a turntable may become part of the mix. I know nobody has ever heard of it, but I used a Groov Audio multi-room preamp because nobody makes a open-integration multi-room preamp anymore, paired with Sonance amplification. The speakers through the rest of the house are Episode 700 series.

Do they only sell white paint and furniture where you live?  I assume that's what heaven will look like. Unfortunately, I may never know.

Nice looking install.

Cool! All the best to you too! That's super awesome. Maybe you'll actually have to hire an assistant now. ;)

Cheaper, so he can afford to pay me a larger cut. These are, after all, designers.
