I've got to go down to Puerto Rico to work on a boat.  Just booked the flight, and I'll be leaving tomorrow morning, and coming back Friday afternoon.  Travelling for work can be tough, but I will just have to suck it up and take one for the team.

Have fun and be careful if you're driving, they're quite impatient on the road.....

Duct,

I love traveling to work on a clients boat. Once a guy sent his plane for me and my family to go to Atlantis. He called on a Thursday, I told him that I couldn't make it till the following week, he said I'll send my plane, bring your family make a weekend out of it, I'll get a room for you all and everything else just charge to my account. Took about a hour to fix and had a great weekend. The Panamax failed, swapped with a power strip, told him to call when boat was home and we would install a replacement. He was happy and we had great time.

Have fun on your trip, but have you looked at the weather? Irene might have different plans for you.

that sounds pretty sweet.  haven't had an offer like that yet.

yeah, i looked at the weather report after you mentioned that.  I guess I'll just have to see what happens at the airport tomorrow.  the flight status shows up as being on time for now.

edit:  Flight resceduled for tomorrow morning at 6:30 am, which means I need to leave the house by about 3:30 am.  and instead of having a straight flight, I now have a connection in Charlotte.   gay....

Poor guy. The worst part is that the beaches are filled with barely covered women right now. How awful for you.

I spent 5 hours with a rotary hammer drill and a chisel bit digging up the tiles in my laundry. Then I spent another two hours laying 8 tiles. (quite big ones)

I think I've permanently damaged my trigger finger, it is still numb 5 hours later!

The only reason I agree with you is that you used the word shenanigans.
Hey, careful man, there's a beverage here!

I parked my freshly painted 1969 Mark III in the driveway today. Then i watched in horror as my dog tried to jump in the open window and scratched the door on his way down.

Some photos from a quick one day job.

Kept the clients existing 52" Sony and sources (cable box, blu-ray, AppleTV, Xbox & Wii) and did the following:

• Wall mount TV with articulating mount
• Add Artison LCR sound bar & Velodyne sub (surrounds existing in-walls)
• Denon AVR (2nd zone to existing speakers in Dining Room)
• APC G5
• URC Control (MX-980/MRF-350)
• Middle Atlantic CFR
• Snap AV shelves, vents & fans

Here's how it was with all the sources on top of the cabinet (these are all crappy phone pics):

Soundbar and articulating mount works out well and they can angle both to an ajoining kitchen area:
